Teacher Development Program Deposit 2026

This Teacher Development Program is in the Iyengar Yoga methodology as developed by B.K.S. Iyengar.

This is a structured 3 year course with Simon and Hasu providing and enabling participants with guidance and opportunity to deepen your personal Yoga practice and eventually how to practically apply this learning to teaching and helping others on the path of Yoga.

300 hours over 3 year.

The program will be facilitated by Simon Joannou and Hasu Opa Clark.
Sessions will be conducted from our Yoga studio in Marrickville.
Face-to-face and online learning options are available.

The costs are as follows:

1st Year - $2500
2nd Year - $2500
3rd Year - $2500

A deposit of $500 is required to register for the program and a $1,000 instalment is required before week 1 and week 5. Buttons are provided below to make these payments.

Students attending online will take part in each weekend workshop via Zoom. In addition, online students will need to complete a block of in person time at the studio. This will be arranged on an individual basis and circumstances. We have managed successfully to support overseas students to complete their training and sit for assessment. We continue to support them through our ongoing Mentoring Program. Please email us to discuss further details.

Students need to have been practicing Iyengar Yoga for a minimum of 3 years prior to commencing the mentorship program. If students are not existing students of Marrickville Yoga Centre, we ask that you organise a discussion with Hasu or Simon before registering. This pass is for the deposit which needs to be paid at registration.
